1. That Dugald Ballantine was Alexander’s father is recorded in the Ballantine Family Bible. I have, however, found no records that place Dugald in North America. Interesting, though, the 1786 Census of Bladen County lists two males, age 21-60 in the Alexander Ballantine Household. Might they have been Alexander and Dugald?
