POWELL, Albert F. Born Jan 5th, 1818 Died Nov. 10, 1873 “I have no doubts, no fears It is bright beyond the river Prepare to meet me in Heaven.”
Albert Franklin Powell was the son of Absalom Powell, II, (1790-1864) and his first wife, Susan Elizabeth Yates (1789-1846), the eldest daughter of Luke Yates (1737-1829) and his wife Sarah Flowers (1771-1854).
Narcissa D. Wife of A. F. Powell Died Jan. 26, 1896, Aged 72 yrs, 9 ms, 22 ds “Mother, thou hast from us flown, To the region far above, We to thee erect this stone, Consecrated by our love.”
Narcissa Dorsey Wooten was the daughter of Richard Wooten (1798-1878) and his wife Eliza Jane Williams (1801-1877) and the granddaughter of Shadrack Wooten (ca 1739-1812).
